Church History to the Reformation
This 24-lecture course is taught by Garth M. Rosell, Ph.D., who is Professor of Church History at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. In this course you will survey the development of the Christian church’s doctrine, faith, and practice since the Protestant Reformation in the 1500’s. The course highlights the rise and spread of various traditions including Lutheranism, Calvinism, Anglicanism, Puritanism, Evangelicalism, and Fundamentalism concluding with a study of the nature and trends of modern and postmodern Christianity.
The Pastoral Epistles
John R. W. Stott teaches this 20-lecture course on Paul’s teaching to Timothy and Titus. Dr. Stott, now deceased, was the rector for many years at All Souls’ Church in London, as well as a leader in the Lausanne Conferences and an influential teacher and author. The lectures deal with leadership in the church by identifying biblical answers to crucial leadership questions from Paul’s letters. Dr. Stott teaches through an exegetical analysis of these letters, sharing insights from the historical background and the original language.
