Answer: Some Acrobat (pdf) versions of the course have large file sizes. Users on dial-up connections may assume that the file is not downloading when in fact it is still in process. Assuming that you do not have a firewall or pop up ad filter that is preventing the download, you will likely need to wait longer for the file to download. The pdf files may also be impacted by pop up ad filters and firewall settings (see Pop-up ad filters and firewalls).

If you have a hard time opening PDF files at ChristianCourses.com, try to right-click (option-click on a Mac), and choose "Save target as..." (Internet Explorer) or "Save Link As..." (Firefox) and save the PDF file to your computer. Then open the PDF file you saved to your computer to read the assignment.

Answer: All courses at ChristianCourses.com with the exception of Institute of Theological Studies (ITS) courses are only available via the Web. The ITS courses are available in audio download or CD format. Please do not request print versions of the courses, as they do not exist at this time. If you are on a slower (dial-up) connection that cannot play our teaching videos, you may still benefit from the courses by printing and reading the transcripts provided for most lessons. The transcripts are provided in Acrobat (pdf) formats. You will find the print version by going to the course and following the lesson activities.

Answer: Our certificate programs are not directly accredited by any regional accrediting association or certification group. However, the Course Completion credits are awarded equivalency credit toward continuing education and academic programs in some formal study programs. Please direct all accreditation questions to the respective association and not to ChristianCourses.com.

Answer: All of the FREE courses at ChristianCourses.com do not require the purchase of additional resources. Courses in the Certificate Program may require the purchase of additional resources, as they are generally tied to certification or academic credit. Certain free courses, however, may suggest the purchase of a textbook(s) or other materials in order to enhance the learning process. The only free course that requires the purchase of a textbook is Foundations of the Christian Church. For all other courses, the textbook is a helpful supplement to your learning, but not required. Please see the course syllabus for more information.

Answer: CC.COM is an open learning system. That is, you may take the course as often as you’d like, for as long as you’d like. We do not automatically bookmark your last location within a course. For that reason, take note of or bookmark the last lesson you have completed on your browser so that when you return to a course you may return to the appropriate lesson.

Answer: If you want to bookmark your location in a course, simply use your browser’s bookmark function to save the exact location of your study. When you return to the course on the next visit, select that bookmark and you will be directed to the login page. Once you login, you will be taken to your bookmark location.
